Privacy Policy

Ring Timer is a timer app for the Mac, made by Imre Draskovits. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.
The short version
Ring Timer does not collect, store or share any personal information. Nothing you do in the app leaves your Mac.
What the app stores, and where
Ring Timer keeps a few settings so it works the way you left it:
- your timer and break lengths, your saved defaults and the −/+ step
- your theme, what the window and menu bar show, and the ring's size and direction
- whether sound and open-at-login are switched on
- the current timer state, so a running or paused session survives quitting the app
These are stored only on your Mac, in the app's own preferences. They are never sent anywhere. Deleting the app removes them.
What the app does not do
- No account or sign-in
- No analytics, tracking or advertising
- No network connections of its own
- No sharing or selling of data to anyone
The About tab has links to the developer's website and email. They open in your browser or mail app only if you click them.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Ring Timer uses macOS to show a notification on your Mac when a session ends. These notifications are created on your Mac and are not sent through any server. You can turn them off at any time in System Settings → Notifications.
This website
This website uses no analytics, no cookies and no third-party scripts. It is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs and stores visitors' IP addresses for security purposes, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement. The developer does not receive or use this information.
Children
Ring Timer collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
